Hi, I’m Courteney.
I'm the designer behind Cobalt & Blush, an independent creative studio based in the High Peak, Derbyshire.
I create branding, print, digital design and websites for businesses, brands and individuals, from developing a visual identity from scratch to designing the things that bring it into the real world. That might mean business cards and brochures, social media graphics and marketing materials, a new website, or even invitations and stationery for a wedding or special event.
With over eight years of industry experience, I’ve worked across a pretty wide range of projects and have learned that the best design starts with understanding what it actually needs to do. I’m interested in the details, but I’m equally interested in the bigger picture, who something is for, where it will be used and how it needs to work in the real world.
Ultimately, I want to create designs that feel right for the people behind them, something you’re happy to put your name to, excited to share and, most importantly, genuinely useful.
When I'm not designing, I'm probably at a gig, wandering somewhere in the Peaks, planning my next trip, or convincing myself that buying another notebook is completely justified.

Not at all! You don't need to have everything figured out before you contact me. Lots of clients come to me with a rough idea, and we'll chat through what you're looking for, what you need the design to do and where to go from there.

Every project is different, so I quote based on what you actually need. Once I've got a better idea of your project, I'll send you a clear quote before any work begins.

That depends on the type of project and my availability at the time. Smaller projects may take a couple of weeks, while branding and websites naturally need a little more time. I'll let you know the expected timeframe when I send your quote.

Not at all! Alongside branding, marketing and website design, I also create wedding invitations, event stationery and other design projects. If you've got an idea, I'd love to hear it.

Absolutely! You don't need to be local to work with me. Projects can be handled remotely using email, video calls and shared feedback, and I work with clients across the UK.

Yes! I work exclusively with Squarespace because it's flexible, reliable and easy to manage once your website is up and running. I'll also show you how to make updates yourself and provide a personalised guide to help you along the way.
